These gloves help keeping my hands stay warm and resist moisture while hiking on a snowy mountain. Most of the times, I can use my hands without having to remove them.
I’d recommend these gloves to anyone who is looking for a comfortable pair to wear during a cool-weather adventures only. (Do not confuse this pair as a pair of snow gloves. This pair isn’t 100% waterproof nor insulated, I wouldn’t recommend this for use during the cold weather below 40 F.)
I am pleased with my new REI soft-shell windproof jacket. It’s a thin layer but after moving around, it is enough to warm you up, and it also allows you to move around at ease. I like how it doesn’t get in the way especially with my backpack on. One time, I’ve forgotten to bring my hat to cover my ears, so I used my hood which was enough to keep my head and ears warm!
This jacket contains zippered pockets when I could stuff personal items inside and not worry about losing anything while I hike or workout. I also like the adjustable cuffs, as they can cover my gloves with them and prevent the cold air entering my sleeves. (Brrr!)

Since any clothing made of cotton absorbs and keep moisture, it reduces your body heat during cold climate. It can even freeze! Therefore, this shirt is made of CoolMax polyester, which keeps your body heat inside and resist moisture. I also like how this shirt feels loose and comfy. It also has a zip security pocket, where I could hid some cash or phone in there.
My only request for REI is provide a variety of colors for this shirt so I could buy more shirts like this one. Until then, I would buy more shirts made of CoolMax polyester for both cool-weather adventures or even casual wear since I live in Colorado.
I am in love with this pair and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in buying a pair that would keep their feet warm and dry. The wool they use keep my feet warm, and at the same time, they resist moisture, which is a great combo because I usually have sweaty feet. Another feature that I like is the cushioning in the shins and soles. I feel like I’m walking on the clouds. I also like the roominess, and they do not sag nor slip.
It is supposed to be shrink-free; however, mine shrunk a little after I washed them. Maybe it’s my new dryer that over-dries. Regardless, I think that it is better to hang them dry instead.
